The word "bhajan" means "to glorify the Lord." Typically are songs sung with Vedic instruments (mrdunga drums & cymbals). In Chicago we are especially fortunate to have a devotee who has a professional singing background, Vamsidhari das. He plays the harmonium and sings many wonderful songs that he himself composed in Hindi, along with many tunes of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra.
